Tri-County Health Care to offer free prenatal classes

If you are a first-time mother-to-be, or would like a refresher course on preparing for childbirth, Tri-County Health Care's obstetrics department is hosting a free, six-week prenatal education class beginning Monday, Jan. 3.

Prepared Childbirth classes are for women during their last three months of pregnancy. The session includes six classes and will stress the following: breathing and relaxation techniques used during labor and delivery, breast and bottle feeding, tour of the TCHC birthing suites, preparation for the birth experience, newborn care and care for mom after delivery and more. "Prepared Childbirth" classes are instructed by Tri-County Health Care OB labor and delivery nurses.

The six consecutive classes will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., beginning Monday, Jan. 3 in the Browne Family Conference Center, Room B. All mothers who attend all six meetings will be eligible to win a free case of newborn diapers.
