Sixty area residents witnessed the lighting of the Hospice Tree at Tri-County Health Care on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at the annual Light-A-Light ceremony. A total of 359 bulbs were lit in remembrance, honor and thanks of loved ones who have gone before us.

"This truly is an inspirational evening that is designed to ease the soul and touch the heart," explained Andrea Craig, TCHC Home Care/Hospice manager. "The holidays can be a very difficult time for those grieving the loss of a loved one and this program is all about providing support and hope to the bereaved."

All proceeds benefit the TCHC Hospice program, which provides care for individuals with a terminal illness. Hospice relies on continued support and assistance through donations, fundraising and volunteer hours. Lights can still be purchased through Dec. 31. To purchase a light, call the TCHC Hospice office at (218) 631-7480.
