Verdict: Jury finds St. Marie guilty on all counts

Tri-County Health Care to host Healing Arts Reception Oct. 14

Minnesota artists representing the Blank Canvas Gallery in Park Rapids are currently exhibiting a unique collection of oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, mixed media with hand-made paper artwork, gourds and woodturning of the Courtyard at Tri-County Health Care in Wadena.

The exhibit will be on display through mid-November, as part of Tri-County Health Care's Healing Arts Program. The Healing Arts Program, starting in 1999, provides local artists a place to display their artwork while creating a warmer atmosphere for patients, visitors and hospital staff.

Tri-County Health Care will host its Healing Arts Reception from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14 in the Café Courtyard, on the lower level of Tri-County Health Care. The public is invited to attend to meet the artists.

The works of several Minnesota artists will be available including: Steve Beaubien showcasing oils, watercolor and folk art carvings; Bickey Kirmis Bender showcasing watercolors, acrylics and mixed-media with handmade paper; June House showcasing watercolors; Janine Merrick showcasing watercolors, oils, pencils, portraits and pastels; Jerry Mevissen, showcasing photography, writing and acrylics; John and Lucy Normann, showcasing woodturning and glass; Connie Schindel, showcasing Gourds; Karen Sharbo, showcasing watercolors, acrylics, oil and glass; Terri Young, showcasing pastels, watercolor, pencil, acrylics, oils, photography and clay; and Judy Wegenast showcasing oils, pastels and watercolors.
