TCHC volunteers help clean up Wadena Cemetery
Tri-County Health Care employees and their family members coordinated early on the morning of June 22 to start efforts to clean up after the tornado hit Wadena.
Volunteers put in full days on Tuesday and Wednesday. Efforts focused on debris from cemetery trees and neighboring structures with the goal being to clean the area well enough for the monuments to be reset. Many monuments were blown over and need to be reset. Jon Johnson, Johnson Memorial Home, is working with a monument company to have the headstones reset as soon as possible.
The cemetery offered a perfect place for the Tri-County Health Care employees and their families to focus their energy as this is a place in our area that affects nearly all community members.
"We are honored to be able to help the community clean up and move towards a positive future after such a tragic experience," says Lisa Reddick, director of administrative services for Tri-County Health Care.
