Sen. Klobuchar plans Saturday visit to Wadena
U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will travel to Wadena at 10:30 a.m. Saturday to meet with victims of the deadly tornados that swept through Minnesota on Thursday and to assess the damage. Klobuchar will meet with local officials to discuss recovery efforts and the assistance that will be needed to help local residents rebuild in the wake of the storms. Klobuchar will be visiting other impacted area next weekend.
"I join all Minnesotans in extending my sympathies and prayers to all who were affected by the deadly storms Thursday night," Klobuchar said. "These storms have resulted in the tragic loss of life, as well as widespread damage to towns and farms across Minnesota. But they will not take away our spirit of community."
On Saturday I will visit Wadena and the surrounding areas to meet with first responders, local officials and residents to get a firsthand assessment of the damage, so we can move forward quickly with support and assistance for these communities."
