Christian and Missionary Alliance hosting Awana

The Wadena Christian and Missionary Alliance Church announced the start of its fall program, Awana.

It will begin Wednesday, Sept. 16 and go from 6:30-8 p.m. It is for all children ages 3 through sixth grade. Pre-registration will be held at 5:30 p.m. and then families and children are invited for pizza at 6 p.m. Stay to hear a missionary from Japan speak when the children begin their activities at 6:30 p.m.

The evening consists of four parts: the opening (pledges, singing and announcements), game time, handbook time (Bible memorization), and large group time (singing, Bible lesson, awards, etc.)

Awana is a non-denominational children's ministry that blends Bible teaching, Scripture memorization and tons of fun.

Nearly 12,000 U.S. churches and more than 4,000 churches overseas run the Awana program.

The church is at 1428 Jefferson St. S., Wadena. For more information call Dayle Reinke at (218) 631-9094 or the church office at (218) 631-3563.
