Phillips announces early for 2010 run for House 10B

Wadena city councilman Pete Phillips didn't get into the House 10B Representative race until late this year, after his party's endorsing convention. This time, he's getting an early start.

Phillips announced at the Nov. 19 Wadena City Council meeting that he'll seek the DFL endorsement for the Minnesota House seat currently held by Dean Simpson, and soon to be filled by Ottertail Republican Mark Murdock, who won the position Nov. 4.

Phillips said he will run for the 10B seat in 2010.

He gave up his seat on the Wadena City Council this year to seek the legislative post. Don Niles will replace him on the council in January.
