The driver of a 2016 Freightliner semi-truck was transported by ambulance to the Tri County Health Care emergency room with non-life threatening injuries Friday morning in Wadena after colliding with a 2013 Chrysler Newport Town and Country van.

According to a Minnesota Department of Public Safety crash report, the semi truck, operated by Robert Jo Grundysen, 59, of Fargo, N.D., was struck under the driver's door by the van, operated by Ronelle Marie Hanson, 29, of Verndale at 10:50 a.m. Hanson was southbound on Highway 71 when she collided with Grundysen's vehicle traveling east on Highway 10.

Hanson, who refused medical treatment, was cited for running a red light.

Grundysen's vehicle suffered minor damage to the undercarriage. Hanson's vehicle was disabled. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
