The No. 8 Wolverines worked hard to stay with the Trojans in the first half. A pair of back-to-back treys from Kennedy Gravelle pulled the Wolverines to within a point, 14-13, before the Trojans caught fire and scored 14 straight points on five shots.

Emma Nielsen canned four three-pointers in the first half and Claire Meyer added two more as the Trojans took a 29-18 lead into the half.

The Trojans, who entered the game holding their opponents to 45.6 points a game, limited Casey Volkmann to only four points. Volkmann reached a career milestone during the season by topping the 1,000-point scoring mark.

A rested Barnesville club turned up the heat early in the second half to tally nine straight points before Gravelle stopped the run at 13:42 with her fifth trey of the game.
