We are ready at WDC

School book drive nearly halfway to goal
When Wadena-Deer Creek’s high school library put out a call to raise money to purchase new books after many of the old ones were destroyed in a tornado, people responded.

District inks 2-year lease with M State

Sprucing up WDC’s gym
The old bleachers, which were installed in 1955, are being removed due to being unsafe. The mechanism for pulling the bleachers in and out has deteriorated beyond repair. Because the high school was destroyed by the June 17 tornadoes, the elementary gym will host many of the varsity sporting events over the next two years. New Wolverine Blue bleachers will be installed within the next few weeks in the Elementary Gym.
