The 2009 Wadena-Deer Creek football banquet will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Pizza Ranch in Wadena.

Blake Petrich rushed for 167 yards and scored four touchdowns in leading Staples-Motley to a 48-6 victory over Wadena-Deer Creek Friday night in a Homecoming game. Aaron Kern gave the Wolverines an early 6-0 lead when he hit paydirt on a 42-yard run.
