YOUR LETTERS
Your Letter: Murdock let us down on GAMC
Who is Mark Murdock working for? It certainly is not the people who elected him to represent District 10B in the Minnesota House. Murdock recently voted against an override of the Governor’s veto of the General Assistance Medical Care program. This vote was made along straight party lines … no exceptions. The troubling part is that about a week before, Murdock voted to restore the program. The House voted a resounding 125-9 in favor of a bill that would save the GAMC program the Governor had unalotted.By Deb Fitzsimmons Wadena , March 12, 2010
Your letter: National ID Card a doorway to control
With all of this talk of health care I think it is time to let out a little secret that neither the Republicans nor the Democrats are talking about.By Jeff Nardello, Sebeka , March 12, 2010
Your Letter: A plan for rural survival: Wadena to Willmar rail
It will soon be clear that our economy won’t replace most of the good jobs shipped oversees. This may become even clearer at about the same time that the Chinese take our credit cards away. And, if the peak oil people are correct, then we will need a plan.

Your Letter: Another request of PJ readers’ knowledge
Rather recently, I’d received such a quick response to a previous request for info via Pioneer Journal subscribers. I now have another request.

Your Letter: Sex offender doesn’t deserve his ‘rights’
As I am sure most of you may already know, there will be a level three sex offender moving to Wadena.

Your Letter: Denial of care may have led to suicide
My name is Kenny. I recently lost my great-nephew, Josh. He was only 19 years old. He took his own life from depression.

Your Letter: Please support the Puppy and Kitten Mill Bill
The images are painful to see. Rows of stacked cages, feces and urine falling through the wire floors onto the animals below. Outside with no bedding, no way to move, no veterinarian care. A life spent in a cage barely bigger than the animal itself. Imagine your pet there. How can this happen in Minnesota?

Your Letter: Why would no one help?
I think it important to note in regards to the “Beating over Yogurt” article that the Wadena community be made aware of the fact that the victim, while running for what may of been her life, ran 8-10 blocks in broad dailylight (9 a.m.) through the community of Wadena (in sub-zero temps.)

Your Letter: Can only defeat Marxism, not compromise with it
We are experiencing what the messiah Barack Obama is made of. Anyone who can talk about a so-called budget with a $1.6 trillion deficit and even utter the words “fiscal responsibility” is living in some bizarre dream world. Anyone that far from reality would ordinarily be institutionalized in a padded cell.

Your Letter: School doesn’t have ‘excess funds’
In response to the PJ article from Jan. 16, “Council kicks in a conditional $4,000 raise for summer rec,” I would like to make a point of reference that WDC School does not have $200,000 in excess funds.

Your Letter: A note about county pay
I would like to provide some clarification and correction in response to a published quote from me stated in the Pioneer Journal’s January 9, 2010 edition regarding the starting pay of the county attorney and county sheriff.

Your Letter: Congressman Peterson giving cash to farmers forever
As average citizens of the 7th Congressional District struggle with today’s financial mess, including home foreclosure, health care costs and job loss, Congressmen Collin Peterson focuses his attention on continued government support for the district’s financial elite, its farmers! Even with record income over the last four years, big farmers still receive annual government subsidy checks, plus an even a bigger perk, subsidized crop insurance.
