Two big programs coming up at the library
The Wadena City Library will be hosting Lorna Landvik, a Minnesota best-selling author, at the library at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14. Tickets are free but seating is limited. Visit the library to get up to two tickets with your valid library card. Summer reading program drawing big numbers to Wadena Library
The Summer Library Reading Program continues to grow in numbers as we near the end of July. To date, 215 children are participating in the program. On average, there have been around 175 participants in past years. So we are proud to see this significant increase. I would like to acknowledge and pass on my thanks to the parents and teachers of these children for not only instilling a love of reading, but also bringing them in and encouraging them to continue to read.By Renee Frethem, branch manager , July 22, 2009

Summer library programs about to start
We’ve celebrated Children’s Book Week the week of May 10-16. Thanks to all who came in to cast your vote for your favorite bookmark in the nine different categories. Once again the four Wadena Deer Creek second grade classes put their art caps on for us and made some wonderful bookmarks for our 2009 contest.
