It is estimated that 35 percent of all children born after the year 2000 in the U.S. will have Type 2 Diabetes if trends regarding weight and physical activity continue. This national dilemma affects more than 80 million people nationwide. While 24 million Americans are currently diagnosed with diabetes, another 57 million Americans have pre-diabetes and are at risk for developing diabetes.
