MSCTC holds food drive competition

Minnesota State Community and Technical College students and faculty are holding a food drive from March 23 to April 9 on the Wadena campus in honor of national food shelf month. The food drive is a challenge between programs. The winner will be determined by most total weight of food donated. The winning department will receive a pizza party provided by the student senate and Nursing Club. There will be a box located in the main area on campus accepting donations from the community for the food drive. Monetary donations will also have a weight value that will be factored in.

OUR VOICES Creamy pinto beans and veggies

A can of evaporated milk in the cupboard that needed to be used up inspired the subtle creamy twist to this dish. A can of pinto beans add some substance and protein to the vegetable mix. Servings: 3

OUR VOICES Tomato, basil and cheddar sandwich

The name pretty much says all you need for this sandwich. When there’s fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden, it’s best to keep it simple. Why would you want to interfe
