Lakewood Health’s Laugh & Live Well Expo hosts nearly 400 women Lakewood Health System held its third biennial Women’s Expo, Laugh & Live Well, on Saturday, Feb. 20 for nearly 400 area women. The event was held at Central Lakes College in Staples. Attendees browsed 80 local business exhibits, attended their choice of 12 breakout sessions and participated in a key-note speaker session during lunch. Robin Getman of the InterACT Group in Minneapolis spoke on “Laughing to Your Toes,” a session of laughter, reflection and inspiration.

New Year’s baby born at Lakewood Health System Twenty-ten brings the celebration of birth for Nikkia and Jessy of Staples, who welcomed their new baby boy, Chase Owen, into the world on Jan. 1. The first baby of the New Year at Lakewood Health System, he was born at 3:37 p.m. and weighed in at 8 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 21 inches.
