Occupational therapy, by definition, implements the therapeutic use of self-care, work and play activities to increase independent function, enhance development and prevent disability. A test is available at Lakewood Health System to determine the level of care an individual must need to remain as independent as possible. Janet Byland, the newest occupational therapist at Lakewood conducts this test, called Cognitive Performance Testing.September 11, 2009
Unicare accepted at LHS
Lakewood Health System announced it will continue to serve patients with Unicare insurance coverage. Due to recent policy changes, some area healthcare providers are no longer accepting Unicare, a Medicare Advantage Plan.
