Immanuel Lutheran of Wadena worked with Bemidji Calvary Lutheran and Lutheran Disaster Response in a Backpack Project for WDC students affected by the tornado. Thirty-one filled packs were delivered this past week.

Wading pool will be salvaged 
The Wadena wading pool may be up and running by spring, Public Works Director Ron Bucholz said at the Monday, Aug. 23 city budget meeting. He said that it “might get some life back.”
