The Firefighters’ Rodeo wasn’t all fun and games this year. Area firefighters felt some serious heat during a training exercise where they confronted a burning propane fire.
The 5th annual Firefighters’ Rodeo was in Wadena Saturday. The overall competition was won by Frazee, with Hewitt a close second. There were 11 departments in the field. The event also marked the end of the Summer of Fun celebration, and the grand prize winner was Judith Krell of Verndale. She won the dining room set from Wadena Furniture Gallery.
