Longerbone benefit set for tomorrow (Friday) in Comfrey, Minn.
Brian Longerbone, a former teacher in the Wadena-Deer Creek district and native of the New York Mills area, was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer, and a benefit on his behalf will be Friday in Comfrey, Minn.

Longerbone detected the cancer early this year, and has undergone two surgeries.
Longerbone’s fellow employees have arranged for a benefit called Brian’s Hope, which will be Friday, July 10, after the Comfrey Community Days Parade. There will be a walking Taco stand and a silent auction. Donations may also be sent to Jill Veerkamp at 205 George Street, Comfrey, MN, 56019. Thrivent Financial is providing matching funds.
