Krause, Anderson turn in qualifying rounds

Kayla Krause and Katie Anderson qualified for the second round of Section 6AA golf action last Thursday at The Territory.
Krause shot an 84 while Anderson carded a 93. Rounding out the WDC scoring were Breanna Speed (109), Amanda Kramer (123), Ella Harrison (128) and Paige Hartman (138).
The Wolverines placed eighth in the 14-team field with a 410. Minnewaska took top team honors with a 305. Minnewaska’s Emily Roering was medalist with a 70.
Eight individuals and four teams advanced to Tuesday’s competition at The Territory. Joining Minnewaska were Staples-Motley (329), St. Cloud Cathedral (358) and Albany (379).
The top team and the top five individuals advance to the Class AA state tournament June 3-4 at the Ridges of Sand Creek in Jordan.
