Hundreds of children attended this year's Easter egg hunt at the Southwest softball complex in Wadena April 15.

There were three different hunting areas for children—one for ages 0-3, one for 3-6 and one for children ages 7-10.

The popular event, sponsored by the Wadena Chamber of Commerce, always draws a crowd.

The Easter bunny was on hand for children to meet and have their picture taken. Miss Wadena Hannah Vorderbruggen, first princesses Gabi Ross and second princess Jessica Langer were also present to visit and take photos with the children.

Mayor George Deise attended the event to greet the children and visit with the Easter bunny.

The chamber was selling raffle tickets for a X330 42-inch John Deere lawn mower, donated by Midwest Machinery, as well as cash prizes. Proceeds from the raffle are used for events year round, including the Easter egg hunt.

Local businesses donate candy for the eggs every year.

If the smiles of the children was any indication, the event was a huge success.
