Mustful book talk set for March 18
Join Minnesota author, Colin Mustful, as he provides a book talk at the Wadena City Library on Saturday, March 18 at 11 a.m. Mustful is the author of three novels which tell the story of the people and events surrounding the U.S. — Dakota War of 1862. Utilizing elements of fiction and nonfiction, Mustful writes a cross-genre in order to convey this period of Minnesota history in a manner that is both compelling and educational. Learn about Mustful's books, Minnesota history, the writing process and the self-publishing experience at this upcoming event.
This free Legacy Program is funded in part or in whole with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on Nov. 4, 2008 which dedicated funding to preserve Minnesota's arts and cultural heritage.
Wadena Area Community concert is March 19
The Wadena Area Community Band will be presenting a concert entitled "Minnesota March March Madness" on Sunday, March 19 at 3 p.m. in the WDC Middle/High School Commons. All are welcome and there is no admission charge. There is an opportunity for a free-will donation which the band uses to present scholarships to high school students who are members of the community band to use for post-secondary education.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Five Wings Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
