Bluffton to crown first royalty during 2nd annual Hometown Days

The 2nd annual Bluffton Hometown Days will kick off next Thursday, Aug. 14 with the Miss and Little Miss Bluffton Pageant.

The free event, scheduled for 6 p.m. at the community center, marks the first time the eastern Otter Tail County community of about 200 people will have crowned royalty.

Hometown Days will continue Friday with a citywide garage sale and a drive-in Burger Bash at DJ's Powerhouse.

Saturday's festivities will include a 5K run at 9 a.m., an old-timers baseball game at 11 a.m., kids activities (inflatables, crafts, face painting, petting zoo, etc.) from noon to six p.m. and parade at 3 p.m. The Bluffton Lions will host a pancake breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. and a chicken dinner/pie social from 5 to 7 p.m., which will be followed by a street dance.
