Kinship needs volunteers
Kinship of the Wadena Area needs you! Kinship is a non-profit youth mentoring program that provides safe, quality mentoring relationships that improve the lives of youth in our community. The program is available to any child ages 5-14 years old that could benefit from having another caring adult in their life. A mentor is a friend that will support and encourage Kinship youth to develop their character and capabilities. Kinship is unique in that it not only encourages single adults to mentor, but also couples and families who want to get involved with mentoring as well. Mentors need to be at least 18 years old and able to commit to spending time with their youth at least two times a month (2-4 hours), for a minimum commitment of one year.
If you are interested in becoming a Kinship mentor or if you know of a child who could benefit from having a Kinship mentor, please contact us. Program Coordinators: Laura Kiser and Monica Watson (218) 631-6226, WadenaKinshipKinship of the Wadena Area.
