Zornes displays wooden masks and stone sculptures at the Cultural Center through July 31
Simon Zornes, artist from White Earth, displays his work in stone and wood in the Cultural Center's upstairs gallery now Through July 31. Using native rock and wood, Simon Zornes, artist from White Earth, creates powerful images expressive of his Anishinaabe heritage. His masks and stone carvings powerfully convey his personal artistic passion as well as his intense desire to connect with his life as a tribal member.
Please visit with Zornes in person on Friday, July 11 from 2 to 5 p.m. during the Summer Celebration in New York Mills. This activity is made possible, in part, by a Region 2 Arts Council Individual Artist Grant with funding from the McKnight Foundation.
