Your vote is important
Since the beginning of the world, marriage has been defined as the union of one man and one woman. The Bible is very, very clear about the definition of marriage. No one has the right to redefine marriage.
Why do those who want to defeat the Marriage Amendment keep insisting on the use of the word "marriage?" The use of the phrase "civil union" is more appropriate, and they should be asking the government to deal with civil unions.
The state of New York allows same-sex marriage. I just heard on Oct. 22 that Michael Bloomberg, the mayor of New York City, has donated $125,000 to help defeat the Marriage Amendment in Minnesota. Is this what we want for our state? I would hope not.
Be sure to vote on Nov. 6. Let your conscience be your guide. Vote YES on the Marriage Amendment. Please don't leave this part of the ballot blank.
