Your Letters: Why vote no on Keystone?
Gas prices are almost $4 per gallon. We are being told by the news media that they will hit $5 a gallon by fall. We all remember what happened the last time they got this high.
On Thursday, March 8, the United Sates Senate voted on the Keystone Pipeline Plan. All of the Republican members of the senate voted for the plan. Six Democratic Senators also voted for the Keystone Pipeline Plan. They were Max Baucus and Jon Tester of Montana, Kent Conrad of North Dakota, Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, Clair McCaskill of Missouri and Jim Webb of Virginia. How did our two Minnesota ultra liberal United States Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franklin vote? They voted no.
Why would Senator Klobuchar vote no when she is up for reelection this year? Because she feels safe. I hope the citizens of Minnesota take a good look at her voting record. They will find that she has one of the most liberal voting records in the United States Senate. That is something to think about the next time you are filling your vehicle. You might want to remember that, when it's time to vote next fall.
