Your Letters: Obama's birthplace and abortion woes
Headline in the March 2, 2011 St. Cloud Times: "Georgia questions Obama's citizenship with legislation, seeks birth certificate."
Georgia is the latest state to propose legislation that questions whether President Barack Obama was born in the U.S., joining 10 other states that want more proof before his name is put on the 2012 ballot.
Georgia Rep. Mark Hatfield, a Republican, introduced a bill requiring a certified copy of Obama's original birth certificate. Ninety-two of Hatfield's GOP colleagues and one Democrat support the bill introduced Feb. 28, 2011.
Minnesota needs to join the other states wanting more proof of this president's original birth certificate and there's the matter of his Social Security number. Is he a natural born citizen? Is he eligible to be president under the U.S. Constitution? His family lives in Kenya.
Obama is the most pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-illegal alien president. Why? For the votes, don'tcha think? The Obama health care plan became Obama health care law. This law is not for the good of Americans and needs to be repealed.
The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and any statute, to be valid, must be in agreement. It is impossible for both the Constitution and a law violating it to be valid; one must prevail.
The Declaration of Independence states, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
The Bill of Rights Article XIV, Section 1: nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
The right to liberty includes the right to criticize the government, to worship freely, and to form a government that protects liberty.
The right to life includes the right to defend oneself against physical attack an unjust government.
Babies (pre-born and delivered) have been and are being physically attacked and unjustly dying. Babies cannot defend themselves and they are condemned to death. For what? What are they guilty of? They need to be protected.
In 1973, abortion was legalized and the destruction of life (the right to life endowed to us by our Creator) violates the U.S. Constitution. Those Supreme Court justices opened Pandora's Box which has been lessening America's greatness. Abortion needs to be repealed.
This is a wake-up call Minnesota and America. In January of this year a Philadelphia abortionist, Dr. Kermit Gosnell, was indicted for murdering eight people during illegal, late-term abortions. Seven of the victims were fully recognizable babies, 6 and 7 months along, that he delivered live before severing their spinal cords with scissors.
These words are from the grand jury report: "Gosnell had a simple solution for the unwanted babies he delivered: he killed them. He didn't call it that. He called it 'ensuring fetal demise'. The way he ensured fetal demise was by sticking scissors into the back of the baby's neck and cutting the spinal cord. He called it 'snipping'. Over the years there were hundreds of 'snippings'. Everyone there acted as if it wasn't murder at all."
We can't hear the screams or feel the pain of a baby in his or her mother's womb when an abortionist is tearing the little body apart and the little one bleeds to death or when an abortionist pierces the skull and vacuums the fast-developing brain of a mother's unborn child. When that safety in a mother's womb is violated that baby feels fear and pain. How would you feel when the back of your neck was being slit and your spinal cord being severed? Wouldn't you feel excruciating pain? Wouldn't you be screaming? Abortion is evil.
Abortion at any stage of pregnancy is murder because from the first moment of a baby being conceived there is life growing. Life. We get our start in life from the moment of conception. Life. Through the evil act of abortion life is ended.
The slaughtering of children has to end or that Pandora's Box that those Supreme Court justices opened will plague America more and worse.
For those who are pro-choice, pro-abortion, think of the babies and change your stance on abortion.
America needs a pro-life, pro-family (marriage only between a man and a woman), pro-America president!
