It makes us all sad that our government is trying to drive us further into socialism!

My interpretation of socialism is simply the government re-distributing wealth and services by controlling incomes and lives. I also agree that greed is a driving force behind the economic woes of our country -- greed for power from the politicians and greed for entitlements from those who don't have as much as others have. This indeed is a land of great opportunity for those who are willing to work hard and take advantage of it, but it also is evolving into a country with no personal responsibility and a larger and larger portion of the population who feels they do not have to contribute anything to the common cause but are entitled to the same benefits as the people who work hard.

With regard to letting our representatives implement change: How do you feel about the "change" you have been given so far? Do the politicians really listen when they jam through a health care bill in the middle of the night that no one has read? The majority of Americans do not approve of the health care plan for many reasons; the astronomical cost, federally funded abortions, and total government control. I believe that health care should be a priority, but let's start with tort reform, open markets for insurance, and a step-by-step implementation of change with everyone aware of all changes being made! We have too many career politicians who will promise anything to get re-elected. There should be term limits for them, and they should participate in the same programs that are being forced on the people.

I also wholeheartedly wish for God to continue to bless America, but I wonder when he will get tired of America killing babies, hiding the Ten Commandments, removing all crosses from sight, taking God out of the Pledge of Allegiance, ignoring the National Day of Prayer, and trying to be politically correct so as not to offend the 14 percent of Americans that do not believe in Him!
