Workshop brings community thespians together
Dennis Lamberson and the Central Lakes College theatre hosted a gathering of community theatre participants at the college on Saturday, April 16. Members of Wadena's Madhatters, Upsala's Upstage Players, Long Lake Community Theatre, Hackensack's Northwoods Theatre and Long Prairie's Prairie Players gathered for the matinee performance of CLC's annual children's theatre. "Tiny Town," written and directed by CLC professor Lamberson, was presented in the Dryden Theatre.
After the performance, Lamberson and the student cast of "Tiny Town" talked about their theatrical process and led a tour of the CLC theatre facility. A general discussion of the successes and challenges of community theatre followed in the fireside room.
