Women's Night Out to be held in Wadena and Bertha
Tri-County Health Care's annual Women's Night Out program will be held on Oct. 19 at Minnesota State Community & Technical College - Wadena and Oct. 20 at the New Life Church in Bertha, from 4-9 p.m.
Women's Night Out is a free educational event on health for women 18 years and older. Motivational speaker Kristen Brown will be this year's keynote speaker.
Take advantage of health screenings and browse around the health expo from 4-6 p.m. and enjoy a complimentary soup and sandwich buffet.
The evening program will kick off at 6 p.m. with an informational session on women's health. Wadena Medical Center physicians, Dr. Nicole Strand and Dr. Heidi Olson, will be the featured medical experts. Strand will discuss dermatology and skin care for women while Olson addresses sleep disturbances in women and how to get a better night's rest.
The evening will conclude with keynote speaker, Kristen Brown. After the unexpected death of her husband at the age of 30, Brown embarked on a journey from anger and darkness back to happiness and peace. Her broad perspective, yet focused insights, provides a framework for others so they can make positive changes to fit their own personal challenges.
