Colter Pettit scattered six hits and the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines topped Pelican Rapids 4-1 Thursday for the fifth straight win.

Ryan Redfield went 2-for-3 with a triple, scored a run and drove in a run. David Najjar doubled and drove in two runs. Kyle Moench also doubled.

Brady Morgan and Kraig Nelson both had two hits for the Vikings.

Pettit worked six innings before giving way to Christian Berg. Pettit walked only one while fanning five to gain the win. Berg was credited with a save.

The Wolverines ended the regular season with a 10-8 record.

"We are playing our best baseball heading into the playoffs," WDC head coach Kyle Dykhoff said.
