Wolverines suffer 60-52 loss to Pequot Lakes
The Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines were able to get scoring from only four players Tuesday night in a 60-52 loss to Mid-State Conference foe Pequot Lakes.
Emily Miron led the Wolverines with 28 points and 20 rebounds. Caitlin Volkmann tacked up 21 points. A deuce from Hope Theisen and a free throw from Sydney Schissel rounded out WDC's game scoring.
Kayla Miller canned 20 points for the Patriots while Jessica Kreitz scored 15 and Haley Wiebolt netted 11.
The Patriots went into the locker room at halftime holding a 27-20 lead.
Tuesday's victory boosts Pequot Lakes to 10-5 overall and 3-0 in the Mid-State Conference. The Wolverines dropped to 2-2 in the Mid-State and 9-6 overall.
The Wolverines travel to Breckenridge Tuesday for a non-conference tilt. They will face Mid-State Conference leader Staples-Motley on Friday at Staples.
