Wolverines finish 12th at Blackberry Ridge

The Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines placed 12th in the Pre-Section 6AA boys’ golf tournament Monday with a team round of 404 at Sartell’s Blackberry Ridge.

Wesley Janson fired a 92 to pace the WDC squad. Jacob Goeden was five strokes off Janson’s round. Jordan Kern edged teammate Thomas Quincer by one stroke with his 107. Matthew Quincer and Jack Goeden tied with rounds of 117.

Kyle Haag led St. Cloud Cathedral to a winning 324 team round with a medal-winning 77. Tying Haag was Staples-Motley’s Andrew Israelson. Becker’s Jackson Fluck and Zimmerman’s David Molinari both shot 80.
