Craig Klawitter's Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines survived two good innings by New York Mills Monday to claim a 6-5 fastpitch victory over the Eagles.

Steph Hahn was touched for six hits and five runs but the right-hander gave her team a complete game. Hahn did not walk a single batter and struck out eight to gain the victory.

Mills' Kendra McCall walked five and fanned five in the loss.

The Eagles bunched their runs scoring two in the third and three more in the fifth.

Leah Dykhofff went 2-for-2 at the plate for WDC, scored three times and stole a base. Sam Holweger went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI.

RaeAnna Salo doubled twice for the Eagles, scored once and drove in a pair of runs. Jenna Esala went 2-for-2 and scored twice.
