The Detroit Lakes Lakers had too many hits and runs in their lineup Tuesday for the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines to handle.

Playing the first home games of the 2013 season after a month of frustration with uncharacteristically wintery conditions, the Wolverines dropped a 13-3 decision in Game 1 and lost 11-6 in Game 2.

The Lakers pounded out 27 hits in beating Caitlin Volkmann in the opener and Victoria Witthuhn in the nightcap.
