Students at WDC Elementary continue to reap the benefits of the fruit/veggie school snack made possible from a grant written by Food Service Coordinator Sandie Rentz. Kids like Madison Carsten enjoyed the pummelo, the largest citrus in the world which can reach 12 inches in diameter! Most students had never tasted this sweetish-acidic fruit that resembles a grapefruit and is native to Southeast Asia but is gaining popularity in the U.S. as well.
