Wilma Cowan

She was born June 16, 1934 in Cohocton, N.Y. to William Casper and Sylvia (Pulver) Marshall. She graduated from Dundee Central School in Dundee, N.Y. with the class of 1952. She received a bachelor degree at St. Francis College in Joliet, Ill. She was employed as a registered nurse in New York and Arizona. On April 29, 1955, she married Harry Joseph Cowan, Sr. in Derry, Pa. Their marriage was blessed with four children. Harry passed away in July 1981. She enjoyed her occupation as a traveling nurse. She was employed in all but four states in the United States and for four years in Saudi Arabia and in Panama during Just Cause, before retiring in 1999. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Since September 2008, she made her home in rural Perham with her daughter, Kimberly.

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Ann (Don) Andersen of Perham; two sons, Harry Joseph (Debbie) Cowan, Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz., and Thomas William Cowan of Ward, Ark.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, William E. Marshall of Grand Bay, Ala.; many other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry J. Cowan, Sr.; son, Arnold Jason Cowan; sister, Betty Jane Sechrist.
