Wigert retires from Tri-County
Jon Wigert, M.D. long-time Tri-County Health Care (TCHC) provider at the Henning Medical Clinic and the Golden Living Center Resident Care, retired on Monday, April 11. Wigert worked with the Henning Medical Clinic for 27 years. A retirement party was held in Wigert's honor on Friday, May 20 at the Landmark Center in Henning, formerly the Henning Clinic and the home of the Wigert family.
"Jon has dedicated his life to medicine," said Joel Beiswenger, Tri-County Health Care president and CEO. "Often, he would spend several hours with his patients in the clinic, hospital or nursing home."
"As a member of the Henning community and a provider at the Henning Medical Clinic, it has been my privilege to know Dr. Wigert as a health care provider, mentor and friend," said Amy Severson, FNP. "Most patients in Henning have a story of how Dr. Wigert has touched their lives. It was my honor to work beside him."
In his retirement, Wigert plans to enjoy time with his children and grandchildren, as well as stay active within the community and the medical field.
"Dr. Wigert was a dedicated physician to the Henning community for more than a quarter century. When he cared for my mother during her last days, he was very patient, understanding and went above the level of care we expected," said Bill Goepferd, senior vice president, First National Bank of Henning. "Dr. Wigert has also been a strong supporter of the community calling on many people at the nursing home, following up with patients after administering care or visiting them at home."
"Jon will be missed among the staff and patients here at Tri-County Health Care, the Henning Medical Clinic and the Golden Living Center," said Beiswenger. "However, I am confident that the quality care that has always been delivered by our expert staff at Henning Medical Clinic will continue."
