WDC students attend Region 6 FCCLA meeting
Forty WDC students attended the Region 6 Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Fall Meeting held at the M State-Detroit Lakes campus.
Keynote speaker Mary Mehsikomer presented timely information on being a safe teen internet user. Also presenting were state FCCLA officers Kaylen Larson from East Grand Forks and Lucas Koch from Wheaton. National FCCLA Vice President of Public Relations Morgan Croft was a special guest as was the Minnesota FCCLA State Executive Director Wendy Ambrose.
All of the 250 region delegates took part in four round table sessions that provided an introduction to the FCCLA state and national projects. Anissa Mench, Region 6 FCCLA treasurer, was responsible for teaching delegates about the Student Body project.
Sonja Kern and Kristyn Ament sang the national anthem for the opening ceremony and Tami Mench attended as a chapter parent.
