WDC sixth-graders collecting pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House
Patty Berg’s sixth-grade class is collecting aluminum pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.
"We would like to encourage students, families and the community to collect the tabs and bring them to school. Our goal is to try and collect as many tabs as we can in in order to benefit the Ronald McDonald House," Berg said.
The sixth-graders will be collecting tabs through May 16. Please drop them off at the elementary or middle/high school offices.
The purpose for collecting the aluminum tabs is to help families in a time of hardship. Children diagnosed with cancer, or any other serious disease or injury, need the support of their families. The Ronald McDonald House provides a place to stay for these families. To help keep the costs low, the Ronald McDonald House depends on volunteers and generous community support. Aluminum tab recycling plays a very important role and helps so many people.
“Thank you so much for your time and effort in helping 'pull' for children in difficult times,” Berg said.
