The top-ranked Crosby-Ironton Rangers had to do a lot of stomping to put out the fire the Wolverines brought to Tuesday's Section 6AA football game.

By the time the Rangers had their 35-21 win in the bag, it was the home team that was glad to see the game ending. The Wolverines were like tinder dry grass on a on a windy day -- tough to snuff out.
