Volkmann led the scoring with 16 points and joined Kelsi Crawford, Hannah Toedter and Rachel Craig in grabbing 17 of WDC's 25 rebounds. Crawford had a good floor game with four steals and joined Avery Jackson in scoring eight points.

"We couldn't have asked the girls to play a better game overall. They shot well, played exceptionally great defense and really took care of the basketball," WDC head coach Brian Silbernick said.

The Wolverines are 8-1 since Jan. 21 when they snapped an 11-game losing streak. During their late season run they have improved their record from 2-12 to 10-13.

Monday's loss dropped the Rebels to 15-9.
