WDC FFA General Livestock Team qualifies for state competition
The Wadena-Deer Creek FFA General Livestock Team placed first at the Region II General Livestock Career Development held recently at Eagle Bend. This qualifies the team for state competition in April.
FFA members judged classes of market lambs, market cattle, breeding heifers, market swine and breeding ewes. Oral reasons were given on market cattle. Each team member must give a set of oral reasons on why they placed a class of livestock the way they did using a specific format. FFA members were also judged on official FFA dress.
Team members included: Allison Monson, Caleb Monson, Melody Goeden, Tiffany Schultz and Jodana Albers.
Caleb Monson placed third high individual, while Melody Goeden placed seventh high individual.
FFA Region II comprises of 19 FFA chapters from the northeast third of the state. This area stretches from Royalton to Northome to Blackduck.
