Warren 'Punk' Gaslin
Warren "Punk" Gaslin, 82, of Wadena, passed away suddenly Dec. 4, 2012. He was born in Indianapolis, Ind., and raised in Wadena.
A memorial service was held Dec. 8, 2012, at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Lakewood, Colo.
Warren served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1952-1954. He worked for 35 years at the U.S. Post Office in Wadena, retiring as Postmaster in 1989. He will be remembered for his kindness, exceptional memory and ability to fix "anything." He was active with VFW, Elks, Rotary and American Legion. He was also a scoutmaster in Wadena.
Warren loved music, history and spending time with his wife Sally, kids and grandkids at his lake home on Blanche Lake, Minn. He was active in his retirement, splitting time between Minnesota, Colorado and Texas.
Warren was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine (Flicek) Gaslin (1998) and brother, Ted Gaslin (2011). He is survived by Sally, whom he married April 8, 2000; sister, Mary (Ron) Klemetson; brother, Bill (Mary) Gaslin; and children, Ted Gaslin, Lori Rentz, Thom (Bonnie) Gaslin and Tim (Elaine) Gaslin. He loved his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
