Court records recount that on May 14, telephone records were requested for Shoultz, who is currently in custody at the Wadena County Jail. Shoultz was to have no contact with the alleged victim. But in late April, she made three phone calls, all of which were recorded.

The first call was to a friend's cell phone, court documents said. Shoultz made contact with the alleged victim from the friend's phone, stating that he could change his story about the stabbing in hopes that charges could be dropped. According to court records, Shoultz tried to persuade the alleged victim to say he put a knife under the microwave and backed into it.

Another call was made to one of Shoultz's family members, during which she said the alleged victim was going to change his story for her.

Court documents show Shoultz was convicted of gross misdemeanor assault and fifth degree domestic assault in July 2011. She also has two counts of felony fourth degree assault, and fifth degree domestic assault in August 2011.

Pending charges against Shoultz are of second degree assault with a dangerous weapon and felony fifth degree assault on an officer. An initial appearance for this latest felony count is set for June 11.
