Wadena Wireless offers new options
Wadena Wireless will offer Sprint wireless services to local cell phone buyers beginning Dec. 1, 2006, next to Curves.
The business will offer single, family and business plans, said Co-owner Rick DeWinter.
"We've got some fantastic options," he said.
One of the options Wadena Wireless will sell is a family locator so parents can track their children by phone or computer, DeWinter said. The locator can also be used to monitor individuals with Alzheimer's disease.
"It promotes child safety and public safety,"
Another option is a walkie talkie service called Ready Link, DeWinter said. Ready Link uses a satellite feed rather than the standard CDMA airway used by cell phones so it eliminates the need to be in a Sprint service area.
Wadena Wireless will offer online capabilities, he said, including satellite radio stations, weather checks and pay-per-view movies.
Local numbers for the Wadena area will also be available, he said.
DeWinter owns the business with his brother, Mike, who will manage the Wadena store.
"We're looking forward to bringing this into Wadena," he said.
