Thirty-five teachers and school staff were honored for their dedication and years of service to Wadena-Deer Creek Schools during a recognition program on Monday, Aug. 31.

The awards were presented by Virginia Dahlstrom, superintendent, and Marcy Collins, human resources director, during the school's first day of a three-day staff workshop. Awards were given to staff who celebrated their milestone anniversary in 2009.

The first day of school is Tuesday, Sept. 8 for Wadena-Deer Creek Schools.
