Wadena-Deer Creek School construction on schedule
Construction on the new Wadena-Deer Creek Middle/High School started on May 9 and work is proceeding on schedule according to Kraus-Anderson Project Supervisor Bill Born.
By the end of this week, 85 percent of the footings will be completed. Next week, the steel joists will be cut in preparation for the steel structure.
Plans are to have the school completed by the first day of classes on Sept. 6, 2012. The WDC High School was severely damaged by an EF4 tornado on June 17, 2010.
