Wadena County Dairy Princess Coronation coming up Saturday
The public is invited to the Wadena County Dairy Princess and Junior Dairy Princess coronation and dinner. The dinner will be held March 21 at the Pine Cove Inn, Wadena. Social hour will begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by the 8 p.m. dinner.
Princess candidates are judged on communication skills, personality, enthusiasm for dairy promotion, and general knowledge of the dairy industry.
County dairy princesses are given the opportunity to attend a statewide dairy promotion training seminar and advance to be selected as Princess Kay of the Milky Way. Princess Kay finalist selections will be held May 15-17 at the College of St. Benedict's in St. Joseph, Minn.
Junior princesses will not be attend the training seminar, but will participate in all county level activities.

Kristin Malone, 20, is the daughter of Bill and Mary Malone. Her sponsors are Bill and Mary Malone.
Kelsie Trosen, 18, is the daughter of Allen and Karen Trosen. Her sponsors are Fleet Supply of Wadena and American Family Insurance-Kevin Roline.
Michelle Trout,18, is the daughter of John and Mary Trout. Her sponsors are Land 'O Lakes and Leaf River Ag.
Junior Dairy Princess Candidates
Emma Erickson, 15, is the daughter of Greg and Mary Erickson, and she is sponsored by Land 'O Lakes and Buckwheat Growers.
Amanda Meech, 15, is the daughter of Todd and Patty Meech, and she is sponsored by Perham Stockyards, AMPI and Pro-Dairy.
Louise Nolte, 16, is the daughter of Tim and Rita Nolte and she is sponsored by Olson's Custom Farm Services.
Allyson Seibert, 16, is the daughter of Ray and Cheryl Seibert and she is sponsored by First Nation Bank of Menahga and Sebeka and Co-op Sampo.
